My Name is Alex Vetri and I am the owner of Cogea Distribuzione. during the
last days of September 2014 we have been contacted by email and phone from a
self styled CFO of an Arabic Company.
he contacted us through Alibaba asking for Italian Macaroni supply. We sent
all the
commercial information and he was ready to make an order for 1 million
dollar,
but he was going to pay in cash banknotes and “offshore diamonds”, so we gave
up
because we understood it was a fraud.
We saw on Alibaba that he has 56 fraud reports and he’s a free member, while
we have 0 fraud reports and we are a Gold member.
When he understood that we were not going to fall in his fraud, he wrote the
fraud report on us, to hurt our business. And he also sent us this report to
show it to us and laugh on us!
Now, our company is:
- Authorized exporter from the Italian Custom Agency since 2013
- a dealer with the most important GDO customers in South Korea, China and
other countries since 2012
- recognized as operating company by SIAL Paris Fair, Vinitaly Fair, Spanish
Government Fair organization (Avante)
- recognized as supplier of the Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri Hilton Hotel
since 2009
- Alibaba gold member since 2013
- on the web since 2009
The scam report that has been written on our name is absolutely false. We
never sent any goods to this guy, neither to any “alex in Alabama” (it is
interesting to see that “Alex” is my name and Alabama is the first State of the
list, so probably he did not even choose a name and a State).
We are ready to talk with any customer, explain the situation and offer our
goods and services at a professional level.
