Advanced MedSpa Dr. Efrain Gonzalez Not a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon but a GYNECOLOGIST practicing cosmetic surgery Rocklin , California

On 6/20/2011 I went to Advanced MedSpa to see Doctor Efrain Gonzalez to discuss a few cosmetic procedures I wanted to have done. After the consultation I scheduled an appointment on 9/16/2011 to have 5 procedures done, along with a deposit of $2,500. Due to unforeseen circumstances I needed to reschedule my surgery date to January 2012. However, during this time I have came across very disturbing information about Dr. Gonzalez. I learned that he is not a board certified plastic surgeon; that his license was revoked in Puerto Rico in 2006 for illegal practice as Plastic Surgeon and killed a patient due to his illegal practices. I also learned that he is licensed as a Gynecologist and not a Plastic Surgeon. When I looked up his license on the Medical Board of California I noticed that he is in the process of lawsuit with another
patient. With all these findings I do not feel comfortable with Dr. Gonzalez operating on me. I expressed my concerns to his office and requested that my appointment be cancelled and my deposit returned. Dr. Gonzalez would not refund my entire deposit but charged me a 35% cancellation fee and only returned 1,625. I am requesting for my entire deposit to be returned.
