Acronis True Image Home 2012 Acronis True Image Home 2012 is flakey Internet, Internet |

Aconis True Image Home 2012 is real flakey and I wouldn't use it. It has wiped my computer clean 3 times in one month. I used Acronis backup software for over 5 years, but this latest release can be real trouble. Twice when I manually kicked off a backup, it started a restore instead and then crashed, making my computer unbootable. I had to reload Windows 7 and all my software. The Boot disk that I had created from Acronis did nothing. The last time, I was getting ready to kick off a backup and it said a new release of Ture Image Home 2012 was available, so I clicked to update and it said a restart was needed, which I clicked OK. Boot Manager came back and said my computer was unable to start and to insert the Windows installation disk. I contacted Acronis support via Chat and told them the problem and they said they had no record of a valid key, even though I successfully re-installed it twice this month. I was told I would have to PPI (pay per incident). I am now through with this company. More trouble than it is worth. I'm now using the backup services available with Windows 7. Sure can't be any worse. |

Yes, a bunch of shysters...I will never again purchase anything from this company! After several attempts in using Acronis True Image and trying to recover my system with 'My Backup', (unsuccessfully, I might add) I tried to contact 'support' via their website. There, I had to register as a user and then register the product...only to learn that 'this product is no longer supported'. What kind of crappy company refuses support on a product which was installed only four months prior??? |

Don't believe the hype! Acronis True Image 2014 causes my computer to freeze completely & one needs to press the reset-button to restart the computer.
Their software is supposed to protect computer-systems from failure; & should not cause them!!!
Acronis then has the audacity to charge £20 for their 'service' to get their broken, faulty software working for which I paid circa £60 just three months ago.
Acronis is in breach of Consumer Protection Regulation. Their software is not fit for purpose & I forwarded the whole matter now to Trading Standards in the UK. |
