ACCOUNTEMPS: SONIA MAGDALONO Very Unprofessional, incorrectly assumptive, inattentive, neglectful, confrontational. Oxnard, California

While I am disappointed by the ultimate outcome of Accountemps, Sonia Magdalono, the rep I was speaking with, rescinded my start date of a already confirmed assignment, at the last minute hours before, as from what she stated she "never verified my references", although I provided contact information for them. I found on numerous important circumstances there was a lack of communication with her and found her not to be of the standards I expected from a professional temporary employment agency. This was my first time applying through this agency, I have never worked for them, and I have decided not to commit as an employee with them, since to this date she has still not verified my references and I keep getting brushed aside. She also told me to call my previuos managers myself and have them contact her. What is the reason for her not doing this herself? She has had weeks to do this prior to me showing up to my start date! Also, as experience I have worked under 1099 status, and for some reason she does not know what "independent contractor" means. She confronted me and said "I cant find record of your employemt with this company, Did you work under the table because there has to be record of this for tax reasons." What the heck lady, I just told you I worked under 1099 status. I would not be on the payroll dumbass! And to ask me for proof of my taxes or proof on being invoiced is none of your business! Anyhow, I then called my prior manager myself, and she told me Sonia NEVER even called over there to verify for a reference! Very concerning that she is just not even calling references at all! So I tried to help as I asked my manager to call Sonia at the office directly. She did, and still to this date Im being told references cant be verified! What the heck! I have no criminal background, never been fired from any job, I have an excellent and stable employment history. I will never ever go though this wishy washy company. Three weeks to verify references is way too much time to research. How Sonia got the job of Office Manager is a BIG MISTAKE! My advice to you is don't go there if you are looking for professional job placement, because what they advertise is definatley lacking at this office!
