Abt Customer Service seems fine when things go well, but watch out if they don't - because they will not admit or accept responsibility for their mistakes!!!!! Had refrigerator leaking so called Abt for repairs. Sent guy out (for $150) who said filter housing is cracked and needs replacement - but that we need to wait a week for him to get it and come back out. Not ideal, but certainly understandable, no big deal. Week later, a different guy comes, replaces the filter housing, but it still leaks (with filter housing, we've now paid Abt $220). But when the guy tests it, it still leaks. This guys says we need a new filter too. When my wife questions that perhaps it wasn't the filter housing which was the problem in the first place, the guy goes to show my wife where it is cracked or where the seals are worn out - but when he goes to do so, he says "oops, looks like it wasn't broken after all". But by now the new housing has been installed already into our fridge. Guy tells us we need a new filter, and we need to go to Abt to get it. Next morning, we go into our freezer, and everything is ruined/defrosted. The repair guy had turned off our freezer without telling us. So at this point, over a week after calling Abt for service, we've paid them $220, we still have a leaking refrigerator which has not been fixed, we still have to buy a new filter, and all our food in our freezer is ruined. You would think Abt would do something to compensate us - but if you did you would be sadly mistaken - as we were. Instead, store manager lady told us they did NOTHING WRONG !?! Denied their repair guy could have turned our freezer off - must have just happened magically by itself - and denied that their initial assessment was wrong. Still have leaking fridge and am out $220. DON'T CALL ABT FOR SERVICE!!!

we've been in business for over 75 years and normally do things right.

spoke with customer last night,
and he said everything is now good to his satisfaction.
asked if there was anything further that Abt could do for him,
and he said no, that all was now ok.
