I applied to an advert through Freelance Writing Gigs, as the work was ongoing until March 2012, but it would require that I did a week long paid trial. I committed to ten articles. I had to open a Google Drive account, as I was unfamiliar with this procedure, but I have worked with Basecamp for Think Geek Speak, which is a similar system. I spent two hours reading through the style guidelines and felt eager to start. However, I have two emails connected to my Google Account, and I was signing into the wrong email. I informed Abbey who told me that she had shared me into her files. Several days afterward, I tried signing into Google Drive my Gmail account and there were the ten documents plain as day. However, I noticed that I was not listed on the writer's list, as I was to add the RID number against my name. I completed the ten articles within four days. I only had two articles to revise, the rest were submitted into the file "submit to editor." In her previous correspondence, Abbey informed writers that she would receive a list from her client about the articles that were accepted on Tuesday. However, I have had to send two emails to her, and today she informed me: None of your articles were accepted. You did not write any. here were major communication issues. Please look for work elsewhere as we will not be hiring you. Sincerely,
Abbey M. MonninCEO, ChevreWords I am sorry, but as a writer to be treated poorly like this when I MET CHEVREWORD'S deadline is a serious fault. I will not be taken for a fool, hence the reason for this report. A WORD OF WARNING TO WRITERS I would encourage you not to commit your time to a company who do not appreciate that time and money do not grow on trees, and quite frankly act very unprofessional and do not adhere to timescales. A WORD OF WARNING TO CLIENTS Are you happy to buy from a company who do not pay their writers? The fact that I run ten different emails is no excuse as to Abbey Monnin stating that I did not write the ten articles she assigned me. Abbey M Monnin, CEO at Chevrewords has acted disrespected toward me, unprofessional, and to state that I did not write the articles is a complete lie, as thankfully I wrote all of my articles in a Word document before pasting, as the Google Docs do not allow the document to be cut or copied. Think twice about working for or hiring this company.
