Five couples started off on a vacation in the Keys in Florida. Most were from Chicago. We selected a house rental and found AAAA Boat Rentals online. We sent a check as a deposit and were told they only accepted CASH. That should have been our first red flag. We arrived to pick up our boat and to our surprise they didn not have the deck boat available that we reserved. They provided us with another boat, that would not accommodate our party but agreed if we took the boat that day they would deliver another boat, the one we reserved, the next day.
The next few days came and went. Day 4 they delivered the boat wer had originally reserved. Our trip was for one week. We had 2 days to enjoy the boat we reserved.
The day we returned the boat they claimed damage to the prop. There was no damage.
They absolutely refused to refund our deposit. The owner of the establishment, Sam, would not even come to discuss for the first half hour we were there. When he did arrive, he was beligerent, rude, arrogant and frankly, an ass!
We left without our refund and never saw a penny of it!
AVOID this place. All I can say is that we learned a valuable lesson to the tune of $500.
We have read other reviews that resemble our experience.
Find a reputable boat marina. One that accepts a credit card. At least you will have some security against businesses like this.
