I will add my input the the negative reviews below...I recently moved and hired AAA Quality Movers (after changing their name from Cross Country Moving and Storage) to move my belonging about 30 miles. They gave me a competitive quote ($425) and I scheduled the move. The agreement was for me to pack everything and they provide all the "heavy-lifting." They showed up on time the day of the move but once there, they then informed me that they needed to "repack" some of my items for "liability purposes." "No worries", they said, "we have packing materials in the truck. We will just charge you for the items that we use." Well, they used 3 rolls of packing tape, a few of their moving blankets and about a third of a roll of bubble wrap (I documents and took pictures as they used the items). Once we arrived at my new house, they promptly charged me and extra $275 for these items (about $10 retail). Of course I was livid. After calling the owner, who was very rude at this point, they refused to unpack my items unless I paid. In essence, they had my belongings hostage and demanded ransom. After a lot of not-so-nice words, I paid the extra and they unloaded my furniture... After they left I did some more research online about the company and found that they had recently changed their name and there were many others with my exact same story. I will file a complaint with the
BBB but with them changing their name so much, it will be hard to build any history on them for others to read. BEWARE!!! I will also file a complaint with the US DOT address is:
