Went online to reserve a vehicle from 699 Rental and bought 3 the rental for the weekend plus bought LDW Coverage$8.99 - All Cars/7 passenger Van LDW: Loss Damage Waiver. Reduces your financial responsibility for damages to our vehicle regardless of fault to $500 or $1000 for foreign licensed drivers. This may duplicate coverage you already have from your own insurance carrier or your credit cards car rental protection benefit. Please check with the appropriate issuing agency regarding your coverages or benefits, as they may vary Friday came I spoke to a guy by the name of Oscar asked him what did I need to pick up the car, he says I needed 300, deposit plus the cost of the rental..he also stated I needed insurance, I said well I did get the Insurance Loss Damage Waiver he says NOPE you need Insurance and we can send you to our Insurance guy and he will charge $110.00 dollars for 1 week. I said I don't need insurance for the week I am only renting the car for the weekend. I then said I can't justify paying for insurance for a week when I only need it for the weekened. I said If I find insurance I'll get back to you, but until then, I am not gonna go with it. Monday May 9, the madness started, they charged my card a 25.00 NO SHOW FEE, after I told Oscar that I did not want the rental because of the charge for his insurance! I spoke to a JASON WHO WAS RUDE told and yelled at me and HUNG UP ON me after I told him that If I did not get my money back that i would take action..I called back spoke to PATRICK WHO INSISTED THAT HE COULD HELP ME AFTER I SAID I needed to speak with a manager, he then spoke to his BUDDY Oscar who then said No I am going to leave it up to Oscar HUNG UP ON ME WHEN I ASKED FOR THE MANAGERS NAME and did the same thing, SPOKE TO OSCAR who has a STRONG SPANISH accent and he lied and said his NAME WAS SHAWN! who also hung up on me, this FELT VERY SCAMMISH, NICKLE AND DIMISH, AND UNPROFESSIONAL TO SAY THE LEAST! all ABUSIVE UNPROFESSIONAL "CREATURES" in business, for $25.00 to have your reputation RUINED IS NOT SMART.. I finally got an email to a so-called JOHN that was [email protected] NOT EVEN A PROFESSIONAL EMAIL ADDRESS!! people need to be aware and careful when they need to rent a car, 699 RENTAL is UNPROFESSIONAL! AND THEIVES!
