This company on January 18th 2011. I had misplaced a key for a 1996 Plymouth voyager. I contacter 1800prokeys and explained i need a key to match ignition and locks, just one key. They told me total for them to come out, make a key and give me the key would be $135 total. When the locksmith PAULY came out he confirmed the same price after taking the vin of the car and writing down all my information. I signed a document to condirm this is my vehicle and walked inside my home because Pauly told me it should take an hour. About 20 minutes later he calls and tells me he is done with the job. I go outside and am handed two keys and the same paper i had signed previously with charges od 261.00. I asked what are all these charges and he told me $55 for a service charge, not sure why that wasnt mentionedor calculated earlier, and $60 for labor. additional tax did also apply which i am not disputing. The explanation was that the two keys cost me $135. My card was charged before he called me to inform of the job being complete and these addtional charges were written on the same paper i signed to verify my information, which i had never authorized. This 1800prokeys company are liars and scam artists. STAY AWAY!

Just yesterday I locked my keys in my car and, after finding Pro Keys to be the cheapest of the three companies I called, asked them to come out and help me. KAMIL K. told me they finalize the price on-site but assured me that I would only have to pay $59 unless they couldn't get the door open within 5-10 minutes. Two minutes later, Kamil saw my keys on my passenger side and immediately went for them. He got them out, bragging about how good he was at "the claw" game growing up. I had already paid him $50 because he had insisted on it before going to work and, again, assured me that he would only charge the other $9 when he got the keys out if within 10 minutes. But when he got the keys out of my car, he took them to his "partner" who kept them in his unmarked truck; and neither of them would give the keys back to me until I paid for a "service call, " that was never mentioned. That was an extra $55. My mom was there with me and she had to help me with the money because I was not expecting to be ripped off this way! My mom and I assured him we would his company and complain about him, and he just smiled! And then, after THAT, he had the nerve to tell us to, "Have a nice day." These guys ARE liars and thieves! STAY AWAY!!! |
