The Suit Magazine small company, Enterprise media, networking, Long Island City, New York |

Michael Gordon the managing Editor. He along with Robert Jordan calls CEO, presidents, owners of companies to interview them for their magazine. The interview is about 7 questions and takes 30 minutes. Afterwards they use a sales pitch to sale the article. They call it "production cost" for their print and digital magazine. This is a scam, there is no real print magazine that they sell. They only print a magazine to send to the buyers. They have lied about having 300,000 visitors monthly at site. They've lied about having 96,000 readers for print and web site. They also promise to send a PDF of the articles as a thank you. But then Chris De Bellis will call you asking for more money in order to get PDF. Michael Gordon claims he has a huge office, but there is only a staff of 5 people. He has his editors aka telemarketers calling leads all day. Also when researched the office number they are under Erwin Kantor which is the owner of this shady little magazine. As for his research staff, we believe they are using leads from a Who's who. This magazine is unethical. Never have I ever seen such a blatant mix of editorial and advertising. |

Hello, I am Christopher DeBellis, production manager and creative director here at The Suit Magazine and also one of the people you mention in your complaint.
First, as responsible, law-abiding, corporate citizens and journalists, we here at The Suit Magazine hold our professional reputation in the highest esteem and under no circumstance would we compromise this for any reason at all; especially not for the expedience of monetary gain.
The Suit Magazine is a company validly existing and operating under the laws of New York, having been incorporated since 2005. We are a business magazine, with a goal of becoming a top publication like Inc., FAST, etc. But we are young. As a result, and to fuel the highest caliber production, we DO ASK participants to HELP US RECOVER PRODUCTION COSTS for participation in our PRINT and digital editions. These costs are peanuts.
As JOURNALISTS FIRST, we do NOT charge for writing an article, or for conducting an interview. Everyone who participates receives a professional written article at NO COST. This article is posted to our website within it's relevant category and is timeless.
However, for inclusion into our PRINTED and digital editions, we ask participants for a small fee to recover our costs paid to our graphic designers. There are no hidden fees, everything is upfront and transparent. PERIOD. If a company wishes not to participate, they choose not to participate.
We DO NOT charge for PDF copies of your article, BUT if we use licensed creative commons photography (such with Getty images), with specific rights for our use only, you will be asked to purchase the rights to the photography independently from your participation with The Suit magazine. Your obligation is to the photography source, not to The Suit, and your payments are made directly to said photography sources, not to The Suit.
I am also pleased to share that our readership has grown tremendously in the past two years, from 100, 000 to 1.4 MILLION readers! These include our website's digital and PRINT editions, as well as our many distributions channels including issuu, scribd, etc ...
I'm also pleased to share that the PRINTED edition's distribution, while small, is growing faster then we expected. We have evolved from a digital only magazine 5 years ago, into a gorgeous, high quality PRINTED edition and I am proud to have my name on it!
Secondly, the allegations made by this anonymous poster against myself and The Suit Magazine
are false, scandalous and injurious to the hard-earned reputation of The Suit as well as myself and our business.
Their "intimate" knowledge of The Suit's "business model" should be the first sign of someone desperate to defame The Suit.
Your attempt to paint me or The Suit in a false light as a company that is involved in surreptitious business dealings aimed specifically at "baiting and switching" will not go unanswered.
The Suit has already instructed its attorneys to advise it on its legal rights against the RipOff Report including a subpoena of records for discovery, as well as the individuals who have all either in concert or individually published any of the scandalous and false allegations against us. The necessary steps to bring legal action will be taken in the next few days.
If ANYONE has any questions, they may reach me directly at (718) 619-8520 ext. 3.
Thank you for your time. |
