Cactus Jack Auto, CAR BROKE DOWN 2 DAYS AFTER PURCHASE Phoenix off Bell Rd, Arizona
28th of Dec, 2011 by User278465
This company is prays on people with credit issues. I am one of those people that read the reviews before buying and I was in need of a car quick in order to take a promotion. So unfortunatly I "well maybe that won't happen to me." IT DID!!! For a whole week I went to ALL the Cactus Jack in Arizona to see the different cars and see the better offers. I first went to the location in Mesa and saw a Malibu. I was giving the keys to start the car and the car didn't start...no noise, nothing! I went to open the door and the handle broke off in my hand!! I left! I went to the location off Van Buren and all the cars there had high milages for high prices. I left! I finally made my way to the Bell location and saw a 2002 Nissan Altima that had low mileage and seem to be in good condition. First of all I had to wait 45minutes to test drive the car, Brandy the salesperson lied and told me they have to do a oil change. I went to grab some lunch and returned so I can test drive the car. Everything sounded fine, drove fine, except for a popping noise. The sales lady Brandy assured me she would note it and they will fix that problem at no additional cost. I agreed, and purchased the car. As I was leaving to my house in Mesa (from North Phoenix) my engine light came on. I called immediatly and spoke to the service manager Randy who told me to fill the car up with Chevron Premium gas and drive it around and if the light is still on Wednesday (a week from that day) to then bring it back in. I was upset that I couldn't return it right than and there but he rudely told me "I have a lot of car to do, so if you bring it in today I won't even look at it till Wednesday." I was frustrated and agreed to bring it in on Wednesday. Two days later, I got in the car to run some errands and the car did not start. The way it sounded, it seemed to be something simple....dead battery, starter went bad ect. I contact Randy and told him he has to do something because now the car does not drive and I have no car to use in the meantime. He said with an attitude (after I argued my rights) to bring it in and he'll see what he can do. I told him "how do I bring it in if it doesn't drive" and he told me I will have to pay for a tow to bring it to there shop because he doesn't have a tow. Now I'm pissed!!!! I purchased a car that the engine light came on as I was half way to my house and you told me to keep it for a week, 2 days later the car won't drive and your telling me to pay for a tow from Mesa to North Phoenix at my own expense!!! I contact corporate (which is the Mesa office--not really corporate), and spoke with Scott. I must say they were very helpful. He told me to contact a tow company they use and have the car towed there (at their expense) where Trey the service manager there will look at it. I did just that. Trey had my car for one whole month!!! Literally I purcahsed the car, three days later they took the car back to repair, and then one month later I got the car back in no condition that I purchased it. I was so livid that I got in contact with the owner Dennis which does not care about his customers only whats going into his pocket. I tried explaining to him from the beginning and he quickly rushed the conversation by saying "well lets just get to the ending" I paused, thinking "this isn't going to go well" after explainning to him that I purcahsed a car that you've had in your possesion longer than I have he told me he will waive my first payment for the inconvienance. My first payment was $190...thats not even enough for a deposit on a rental car for a month!! Then he told me that I am only allowed to talk to Trey and he advised all his workers to not talk to me because I am getting to much people involved. Hmmmmm, if you guys could do your job and have good, reliable service I wouldn't have to talk to so many people. To make the long story short I have had this car for 4 months and it runs worse than my FORD TAURUS! and this company won't do anything but waive one payment and ask me to give them a good review online because they have so many bad reviews!! The only good thing about this company is Scott and Trey customer service and following up with me constantly. Other than that RUN!!! I purchase my first car from and had no problems in 4 years and their service is awesome! They are located in Mesa off Extension and Main...GO THERE! THEY WORK WITH BAD CREDIT BUT HAVE GOOD CARS!

Thanks for the article . At least I will be aware when such situation arises in my car. It is better to have a written agreement than to have orally before buying the car and promoting it.
