Ross Dress for Less Ross REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE JEANS I PURCHASED THAT THEY FORGOT TO PUT INTO MY BAG Plano, Texas |

I purchased several items of clothing equaling over $200. I specifically purchased a pair of jeans among the items. Specifically 6 items. After getting home I noticed that the jeans had not been included in my bag and that I only had 5 items in the bag. I took the receipt back to the store to let them know that they had forgot to put an item inside my bag, the manager argued with me, claiming that I was lying. Even though the receipt showed 6 items had been purchased, he didn't believe me when I told him that there was only five items in my bag after getting home and that the item was specifically a pair of jeans. He even went as far as to tell me that they had recorded it on camera. When I asked if I could review the video, he refused. With continued pressure I finally got him to show me the video. The first thing I noticed was that there is no way he could have told how many items went into the bag, since the video was of such poor quality. For him to have made such an adamant statement that he could actually tell by the video that 6 items had gone into my bag was absolutely nonesense. The fact that he didn't believe me and that they have no way to account for this type of thing is shameful. I don't know what happened to the pair of jeans that I paid for, I suppose a clerk could have snagged it, or it could have been an honest mistake and then the clerk didn't want to get in trouble, who knows. But, I didn't appreciate, as a loyal customer, or at least I was, being treated this way. It seems that the store might be a bit more interested in keeping their customers by trying a bit harder to sort things out than they did. Basically this manager accused me of lying about a very inexpensive pair of jeans. That is what bothered me the most. All they had to do was at least admit that it could have been a mistake on their part. But this manager would have nothing to do with any admission of fault on his part. Ross does not show it's customers ANY respect whatsoever as far as I am concerned and I have not been back since and it's been over a year and a half since the incident. So does Ross owe me a pair of jeans? Your darn right they do......but at this point I wouldn't even accept a pair from them because they have treated me so badly. Plano, Texas |
